2020 Public Parks and Recreation Grant & Sumner County Parks Master Plan Virtual Public Meeting Notice
Sumner County will hold a virtual public meeting on November 5, 2020 at 5:30 P.M. CST. The meeting will be conducted electronically. The virtual Zoom meeting invitation link is posted below. The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the application for a 2020 Public Parks and Recreation Grant Project administered by the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation (TDEC) for the William and Martha Brown Memorial Park at Liberty Creek.
The virtual public hearing will also include review and discussion for the Sumner County Parks Master Plan. Sumner County is completing a Master Plan process for Parks and Trails and seeking public comment on current facilities and any future improvements. This project will serve the residents of Sumner County. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend this virtual informational meeting and provide comments. A recording of this meeting will be posted on the county website within the statutory timeframe. Sumner County does not discriminate. Citizens may also submit any input and ask questions by email to knorfleet@sumnercountytn.gov. Comments will be accepted at the virtual public meeting and throughout the duration of the comment period. All comments regarding the Sumner County Parks Master Plan and TDEC grant application should be submitted by 4:30 P.M. CST., Thursday, November 12, 2020.
