- About: Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are community volunteers trained to be voices for children who have been abused and neglected and are under the protection of the court. The CASA program was created to recruit, train, and support diverse volunteers as they establish relationships with children and act as the ‘eyes and ears’ of the judge to provide information needed so that informed decisions can be made in their cases. A CASA volunteer is often the only stable adult presence in a child’s life.
