The Tennessee State Library and Archives recently recognized new Graduates of the Tennessee Archives Institute. In order to graduate from the program with a Certificate of Archival Management, archivists must complete multiple sessions over a three year period of time. These sessions include instruction in records management, preservation, and making records more accessible to the public. This program offers the participants the opportunity to interact and exchange ideas with archivists from around the state. Certificates were handed out to participants at the new State Library and Archives in Nashville by Jami Awalt, Assistant State Archivist for Tennessee.
